Building a CAN-Native Measurement Network on a Quad Bike with DSM

This video demonstrates Mantracourt’s CAN-native Digital Sensor Module system on an instrumented quad bike.

The quad is fitted with distributed DSM nodes for measuring suspension movement, steering force, brake pressure, and other vehicle dynamics. Each module conditions, calibrates, and converts the sensor signal locally, then publishes clean engineering data directly onto the CAN bus.

The result is a scalable telemetry system that reduces analogue wiring, improves noise immunity, and delivers real-time data for logging, display, analysis, and vehicle development.

The demonstrator shows how DSMs can be used to build a flexible measurement network for dynamic testing, with configuration and calibration handled through Mantracourt’s toolkit rather than custom signal processing downstream.
