CiA is a global association of users and manufacturers dedicated to advancing CAN (Controller Area Network), which is internationally standardized under the ISO 11898 series. Founded in 1992 as a nonprofit organization, CiA provides a neutral platform for the development of future CAN-related specifications and standards.

Since its establishment, CiA has played a key role in promoting CAN technology and supporting its adoption across diverse application areas.
