The Application
One-way wireless display solutions often suffer from limited battery life. This is because users need to physically switch on the remote sensors, which stay on for the whole shift. The user also needs to bring down the display for re-charge when not in use.
The Solution
Using the PC based T24 Toolkit software and the T24 Base Station, the team can easily sum the acquisition devices. The system can then display the total on demand on the T24-LD1 large LED display. A pair of alkaline AA cells powers the T24-SA acquisition device. Owing to its low power mode, the batteries will last for over one year when the device operates for 6 x 10-minute sessions per day. The LED display uses two-way radio telemetry. This process wakes and sleeps the acquisition module as required and delivers readings at a rate of three per second. The large LED display features a tare function, so you can determine the weight of a container without cargo. Engineers designed it for harsh physical and electrical environments with an IP65 / NEMA4X rating.
