Description

The T24-AO1i is a wireless receiver housed in a robust IP67-rated ACM enclosure, designed to provide a configurable analogue output from a single T24 wireless transmitter module. It is ideal for industrial applications where analogue signals are required to interface with legacy control systems, PLCs, or data acquisition hardware.

The analogue output can be selected from a range of pre-calibrated voltage and current outputs, including 0–10 V, ±10 V, 0–5 V, ±5 V, 0–20 mA, and 4–20 mA. All current outputs can be configured to operate in either sink or source mode, offering maximum flexibility for integration.

The T24-AO1i includes LED indicators that provide clear visual feedback on the status of the radio link, remote sensor condition, and battery life of the connected T24 transmitter. A digital input is also provided, allowing the user to remotely zero the incoming measurement signal.

Wireless configuration and scaling of the analogue output are performed using the free T24 Toolkit software, which runs on a PC connected to a T24 base station. Operating on the licence-free 2.4 GHz DSSS radio band, the T24-AO1i offers robust, interference-resistant communication and extended range compared to the desktop AO1 version.

Typical Applications

  • Conversion of wireless measurements to standard analogue signals

  • Integration with PLCs or industrial control systems

  • Remote monitoring in process control and manufacturing

  • Legacy systems requiring analogue signal input

Module transmits and receives, offering:

  1. Full error detection and correction

  2. Configurable voltage and current outputs

  3. LED indication of link quality, sensor status, and remote battery life

  4. Digital input for remote zeroing of measurements

  5. Extended range with integral antenna (up to 800 m line-of-sight)

  6. Wireless configuration and scaling via free T24 Toolkit software

Maximum range achieved in open field site with the module mounted at a height of 3 metres (9.8 feet) above ground. Specification at 3V supply at 25°C.

FAQ

Q What Outputs are available?
A The T24 AO1 (Analogue output) provides 0-10, +/- 10v, 0-5V, +/- 5V 0-20mA 4-20mA source and sink outputs.
Q How many inputs can a T24-AO1 output?
A Just one. Although the AO1 has multiple outputs, only one transmitter module can provide data to it.
Q How does an input equate to the output?
A Using the T24-TK (toolkit software) with the T24 Analogue Output you can declare the upper and lower limits of an output for a given input.
Q What is the difference between the T24-AO1 and T24-AO1i?
A The T24 Analogue Output modules are identical in functionality apart from the T24-AO1i is an IP67 enclosed version where the T24-AO1 is designed for desktop applications rather than industrial and is rated at IP50.
