The T24-SO is a wireless serial output receiver housed in a durable IP67-rated ACM enclosure, designed to receive data from up to eight T24 transmitter modules and output a user-defined ASCII string via its serial data port. It provides a flexible interface to connect T24 wireless telemetry systems to serial-based display devices, printers, and other ASCII-compatible equipment.
The unit operates on the licence-free 2.4 GHz DSSS radio band, delivering secure and interference-resistant communication with a line-of-sight wireless range of up to 800 metres (2,600 feet). The T24-SO is ideal for industrial applications that require real-time monitoring and output of wireless sensor data to local devices in a human-readable format.
Users can fully customise the ASCII output string using the free T24 Toolkit software. Tokens such as <V1> can be inserted to represent real-time values from specific T24 transmitter channels, allowing for clear and meaningful display output. The system also supports static text and formatting, enabling seamless integration with a wide range of display protocols.
The output can be triggered in multiple ways: automatically upon receiving data from specific T24 acquisition modules, or manually using compatible T24 handheld devices. This flexibility makes the T24-SO suitable for applications such as production monitoring, batching systems, or portable test setups.
